DOGGEREL
Courbet's Thicket of Deer At The Stream of Plaisir-Fontaine
Wild deer, do not run:
I'll not use a gun.
I will you defend.

I will be your friend.

We will walk Th'Woods
searching for foods--

looking for (a) lair
where will sleep a pair
from long since

     being
ever
will be
seeing
ourselves wild again

(as the falling rain
with Th'Sun in tow)

we'll go

& below
th'maple sitting

Sing !

with All of Song emitting
promises of Dawn

          the riots afar
under Th'Quiet wing of Evening
falling singular, spectacular
on The Immediate lawn
